Travel Skincare Essentials

I’m off to Vegas for the first time this morning! My Mom, Aunt, Sister & I are taking a much needed girl’s trip to get away from reality for a few days. I plan to sit poolside with some sort of pineapple drink in my hand at all times.

When packing for any trip, I am always sure to include all of my skincare essentials. Taking care of my skin is a top priority for me (as it should be for everyone!), & I would feel so lost not having my favorite products with me!

The most important product to have is sunscreen. UV rays are presented throughout the day, & can contribute to cancer, & premature aging. I have been using the Coola Mineral Sunscreen that I got at Ulta. I love that it is unscented, has an SPF of 30, & has a light matte tint to it. It’s very lightweight, so it’s comfortable to wear everyday, even under your makeup. When looking for a sunscreen, it’s always important to purchase one that is broad spectrum, protecting against both UVA & UVB rays.

As far as face wash, I use Derma E Purifying Gel Cleanser with activated charcoal. It’s paraben free, sulfate free, vegan, cruelty free, & gluten free. I have combination skin, mostly oily in the summer months, & the activated charcoal helps absorb & remove oils, & toxins from my skin’s surface. I use my cleanser along with my Clarisonic which cleanses the skin 60% more than just cleansing with your hands. I also love Clinique’s 7 Day Scrub for a little more added exfoliation. I will do this a couple times a week after cleansing. It leaves your skin feeling extremely soft and supple. Followed by a coconut eye cream to aid in anti aging.

I picked up this pineapple body lotion at Ulta today because it was on sale for $6, & well, it’s pineapple body lotion. It smells like the most perfect tropical vacation, & leaves my skin feeling hydrated and soft. With Vegas air being so dry, I plan to use it every morning to prevent uncomfortable, dry skin.

Lastly, I always make sure to bring everything I need to take care of my lashes. I wear Novalash Lash Extensions, which are waterproof & oil resistant. I bring along a small container of coconut oil to keep them conditioned overnight (also doubles as a wonderful makeup remover!), & baby shampoo to remove excess oils, & cleanse the lash line.

Well, it’s time to greet the 112 degree Vegas heat! I am excited to explore Sin City, get some pool time, & of course, try some new brunch spots!
